Cinnamon Sugar Plum Cake
We love experimenting and playing with new flavors!
This week we were trying to choose between between Orange and Plums, so we decided to do a poll on Instagram and you guys chose PLUMS!
We couldn’t wait to try this flavor and we made it immediately. It was so delicious that we regretted not trying it sooner. But better late than never :P
The Crunchy layer on top with soft fruit and moist cake is perfect for any time any day cake!
Let’s get to it :)
Ingredients
Plattered Real Bean Vanilla Cake Mix - 1
Buttermilk - ¾ cup* (Click here to see how to make buttermilk)
Oil - ½ cup
Lemon juice - ½ tsp
Lemon zest - ½ tsp
Plums - 10 plums cut into wedges
Cinnamon - ¼ tsp
Brown Sugar - 2 tbsp
Method
Grease & line 8" round tin
Prepare the Vanilla Cake Batter by following the instructions on the Real Bean Vanilla Cake Mix pack (Add 3/4 cup buttermilk + 1/2 cup oil to dry mix)
Add lime juice and zest to the vanilla cake batter
Pour into prepared tin
Place plums in concentric circles on top, and gently press it a little so it settles into the batter
Mix cinnamon & sugar in a bowl, and sprinkle on top of the batter.
In oven
Bake at 180C for 40 mins or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean
In microwave
Heat in microwave mode for 5 mins or till a tooth pick inserted comes out clean
